Why the generation gap isn't as wide as you think

In this thoughtful piece for the Guardian's 'Big idea', Professor Bobby Duffy, author of The Generation Divide, shares his views on why pitting generations against each other is a distraction from tackling the inequality that impacts us all. At the end of his piece, he recommends Poles Apart as further reading.

He concludes: "Ironically, the divisions between generations are neither clear nor passionate enough to make a fairer deal inevitable. The task before us is therefore to find another way of bringing that about."
